Here is a summary of recent and upcoming events.

SPRING WALK on 12 April 2025

Walk in Bookham followed by Tea and Cakes

We are taking in the recently designed Bookham Trails which cover Great and Little Bookham and the old hamlet of Eastwick.

We will start the walk at the Tunnel car park on Bookham Common (free parking if you are a NT member) at 2pm. From 3.30pm we will meet up at the home of David and Elaine Crutchley.  David will be there to meet you if you cannot join the walk. The tea will be a Bring and Share affair, but we would appreciate knowing what you might bring.

PRACTICE YOUR FRENCH

Conversation group

These are held approximately monthly, at a mutually agreeable day and time.  There is a wide range of french proficiency in the group, so whatever level you are, you will be very welcome.

ANNUAL EXCHANGE VISITS

Trip to Triel-Sur-Seine

The group organises alternating annual trips to Triel and Leatherhead.  In the past, our trips to Triel have included excursions to Paris, Versailles and Giverny.

We are currently in the process of arranging a trip to Triel in 2026. Watch this space for more details in future.

French film outings

We organise regular trips to see French films (with sub-titles).  For example, in January 2025, ten of us went to the Ciné Lumière at the French Institute in London to see the 2006 film, Marie Antoinette.
